GH Intro

Here is a PowToon that I created that introduces my Genius Hour Project!

Creating this PowToon was a difficult and somewhat frustrating experience. Because it was my first time using Powtoon, I was still learning how to use all the different elements of the program. It would take students awhile to figure out how to use PowToon and students may get frustrated. In order to feel confident implementing this program in the classroom, it would be necessary for me to get better at the program so that I could help students add certain elements if they are having difficulties. Perhaps with more practice, I would be able to create a PowToon with better animations and be able to do it in a more efficient way. After more practice, I would certainly feel more confident using PowToon in the classroom.




Using a Google Calendar is a great way to help students monitor their goals and also to put in due dates so that they have things ready and prepared for that date. It would be great to use during the class Genius Hour project. I would teach students how to use it using upcoming due dates and then students could proceed to write in their goal dates on their Google Calendar for their Genius Hour.
